Dressage at Devon Donates
$70,000 to Thorncroft

Devon, PA—In early 2008, Dressage at Devon donated $70,000 to Thorncroft Therapeutic Horseback Riding, Inc. The proceeds were from the 2007 Dressage at Devon show. Since 1991, Dressage at Devon has raised more than $1,070,000 for Thorncroft. Located in Malvern, PA, Thorncroft is one of the oldest and largest therapeutic riding facilities in the nation. Thorncroft helps the disabled to improve balance, circulation, muscle tone, and concentration, while enhancing self-esteem.

Sallie Dixon, Director of Operations at Thorncroft, was thrilled with the donation. "This year, for the first time in our 39 year history, the operating budget for the farm will exceed the $1,000,000 mark. These funds will be tremendously helpful." The donation is substantial enough to almost completely cover the $85,500 scholarship budget for 2008 which will serve over 85 special needs students. Dixon adds, "To date Thorncroft has never turned away a student for lack of funding and thanks to donations such at this from Dressage at Devon, the Farm will be able to continue this practice."
